Rydges Melbourne Locanda Restaurant

Chroma Group was engaged to manage the refurbishment of Locanda Restaurant & Public Bar at Rydges Melbourne, located in the heart of Melbourne’s Theatre District, refreshing a venue that required a more contemporary hospitality experience after minimal previous alterations.

The design drew inspiration from European restaurant dining, introducing a vibrant yet comfortable interior language intended to create a sophisticated and relaxed dining environment for hotel guests and local patrons.

Delivered under a fast-tracked programme to reduce restaurant downtime, the project required detailed planning, live-environment coordination, and value management support to minimise disruption to hotel operations while maintaining quality, cost control, and design integrity.
