Luma Restaurant & Bar Refurbishment

Chroma Group successfully delivered the refurbishment of Luma Restaurant and Bar within The Playford Adelaide – MGallery, a premium heritage luxury hotel renowned for its Art Nouveau design. Engaged under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) arrangement, Chroma Group provided design management, buildability advice, procurement planning, and pre-construction support before delivering the high-end interior refurbishment within a live operating hotel. The project featured bespoke architectural elements including a continuous sculptural light installation, gold leaf wall finishes, a custom "Playford Gold" painted ceiling, and handcrafted Art Nouveau plaster mouldin’s, complemented by premium FF&E and custom joinery. Through careful staging, close collaboration with the client, hotel operator, and design team, and meticulous coordination to maintain guest access and hotel operations, Chroma Group delivered a luxurious hospitality environment that reflects the hotel's distinctive brand while meeting the highest standards of quality, heritage, and craftsmanship.
