Beverly Rooftop

Chroma Group successfully delivered the fit-out of Beverly Rooftop, a premium hospitality venue occupying the entire 24th floor of Goldfields House in South Yarra, for a valued repeat client. Delivered under a negotiated arrangement, Chroma Group managed procurement, programme coordination, and construction from a cold shell tenancy, delivering a welcoming arrival lobby, amenities, semi-open commercial kitchen, bar, and expansive restaurant with 270-degree views across Melbourne. The project featured a sophisticated interior palette of marble, travertine, terrazzo, and brass detailing, complemented by bespoke joinery, custom banquette seating, plush furnishings, and a hand-painted feature wall that created a warm and refined dining environment. Delivered within an operational multi-tenant commercial building, the project required careful staging, high-level logistics, and close coordination with building management, consultants, and the incumbent contractor responsible for the steel-framed retractable roof installation. Through collaborative delivery, meticulous planning, and rigorous quality management, Chroma Group successfully realised the client's design vision while meeting programme, operational, and quality objectives, creating a distinctive rooftop hospitality destination within one of Melbourne's premier commercial buildings.

Delivery Capability & Execution

Engagement Model
Chroma Group was engaged under a negotiated delivery arrangement, enabling coordination of scope, buildability, and delivery planning prior to and during construction.

Operating Environment
Works were delivered within an operational, multi-tenant building, requiring coordination with building management and adjacent contractors to manage access, interfaces, and continuity of building operations.

Delivery Constraints
The project involved high-level access constraints, coordination with a separate contractor installing a retractable roof structure, programme requirements, and quality standards appropriate to a premium hospitality venue.

Execution Approach
Delivery was managed through planned staging and sequencing of works, with close coordination between Chroma Group, consultants, base-build contractors, and building management to align construction activities with access and programme constraints.

Quality & Safety Controls
Quality and safety were managed through established construction controls appropriate to elevated, public-facing hospitality environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory, building, and operational requirements.

Collaboration & Outcome

Chroma Group worked closely with the client, design team, and project stakeholders to deliver Beverly Rooftop in line with design intent and programme requirements, contributing a new rooftop hospitality destination while maintaining broader building operations.
