Marina Bay Resort
Chroma Group successfully delivered the full refurbishment of Marina Resort in Nelson Bay, transforming the existing 44-room, two-star hotel into a contemporary 48-room luxury resort overlooking the Port Stephens Marina. Delivered under a negotiated arrangement, Chroma Group managed procurement, programme coordination, and construction to deliver a comprehensive upgrade of guest accommodation, public areas, and a new resort-style pool and associated facilities. The refurbishment introduced a timeless coastal aesthetic, combining clean architectural forms with natural materials including sandstone, timber, and lush landscaping to create a welcoming resort environment that celebrates its waterfront setting. Delivered within a live operating resort, the project required carefully planned staging, close collaboration with the client, resort management, consultants, and suppliers, and rigorous quality and safety management to maintain guest access and continuity of operations throughout construction. Through coordinated delivery and meticulous execution, Chroma Group successfully realised the design vision while meeting the client's programme, operational, and quality objectives, delivering a premium hospitality destination that enhances the guest experience and maximises the property's exceptional coastal location.
